Case History
Classmates.com has been growing very rapidly! We have supported their facility
and furniture needs since their first corporate relocation in 1999. We have supported
the design, programming, move planning and installtion for Classmates in many
different buildings.
Classmates requires very flexible furniture solutions that can grow with them.
Everything is flexible from the office panel system, free standing adjustable
tables, mobile files, storage cabinets and computer lab support equipment.
Classmates most recent move required some planning! Classmates wanted to move
their entire company with very minimal down-time. Currently, Classmates hosts
one of the worlds top 10 busiest web sites. They cannot afford down time.
Additionally, it became time to update the look of their panel system to match
the look of their new offices. Without starting over we utilized their existing
furniture inventories and created a brand new look for the offices. With glass
tile accents and segmented tiles the image was enhanced without a huge investment.
The employees loved the refreshing new look. The cost savings over new furniture
was well into the hundreds of thousands.
The project team laid out very detailed plans to move the entire company over
two weekends! Our project management and installation team worked with Classmates
to design and implement the tear down, move and re-assembly of 150 cubes over
the first 3 days of the move with a very minimal punch list. All done on off hours
Friday through Sunday. Classmates was up and running Monday morning, computer
networks, phones and all!
The move was a huge success and Classmates continues to operate one of the
busiest sites on the net. Currently, left over inventories of systems panels,
desks, and files are held in our warehouse for quick unexpected changes to the
offices that seem to be part of the growing and ever changing technology business.
